Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name or a date of birth into a search box on this site, the input travels straight to the outside provider running that search. The provider handles it and returns the results. We do not keep or log the terms you type.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message so that we can answer it. Your message stays inside our team, and we will not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal duty requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page here loads, our servers record a few technical details about the visit:
- The IP address your device is using
- The browser you have and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The website that referred you, when there was one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files kept on your device. They show us how visitors move through the site, including which pages draw the most traffic and where readers leave. Analytics services help us total that traffic. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time, though a few parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keep the site online, running, and loading quickly
- Send your search request to the correct partner service
- Learn which pages readers find useful and which need work
- Find and repair technical problems
- Show advertising that may fit your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, build, compile, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant-record information. What we publish is general guidance about where East Baton Rouge Parish warrant records are kept and how to check them through the Sheriff's Office Warrant Division, the 19th Judicial District Court and Clerk of Court, the city courts, and the Louisiana Public Records Law at R.S. 44:1. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is turned into consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site belong to outside companies. Whatever you type into one of them is handled under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners choose their own retention and sharing rules, and we have no control over them. Read a partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to sheriff's office pages, court portals, records offices, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Following one of those links takes you away from this site, and the destination's privacy policy then governs your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may track your activity across sites in order to show targeted ads. That tracking happens on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. A limited set of parties may receive information:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics services we use to measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect the data we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is ever unbreakable, so we work to keep your information safe without promising that a breach can never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, Louisiana privacy and consumer-protection law, along with the Louisiana Public Records Law at R.S. 44:1, may give you added rights over your data. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Have incorrect information corrected
- Ask us to erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may change over time. When it does, the revised version appears on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to follow how we handle your information.
